Dr. Abdalla Bandak is a board-certified plastic surgeon. He was trained in the United States, rising to leadership positions at several universities and hospitals in Virginia.

Training

Dr. Bandak was a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellow at Eastern Virginia Medical School of the Medical College of Hampton Roads. He finished his general surgery , at the same medical school. He then became the Chief Resident in general surgery for a year, before beginning a Microsurgery and Breast Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Bandak then obtained the American boards of General Surgery.

Dr. Bandak moved on to become a resident in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. After a year, he became the Chief Resident of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Most recently, Dr. Bandak has gone into private practice in Charleston, directing his own office.Dr. Bandak became board certified in General Surgery in 1993. In 1997, he was board-certified by the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.Dr. Bandak's research has been published in medical journals. And was co-author of book chapter about breast reconstruction "the breast" Copland & Bland.
