Brazilian Butt Lift
Butt augmentation is a great way to get a curvier look, as it enhances the shape and size of the buttocks. The Brazilian butt lift is an autologous fat grating technique that uses the patient’s own fatty tissue to augment the buttocks. The fat used in this operation is typically extracted from an area with surplus amounts such as the abdomen, hips, flanks, or thighs.
Who is a good candidate?
Patients considering the Brazilian butt lift should have enough fat deposits that can be easily harvested, via liposuction. Candidates should be at or close to their ideal weight, but should not be overweight.
The Procedure
Liposuction is used to extract the fat from the donor area, and it is then processed and purified through a centrifuge. After this, the fat is injected into specific areas of the buttocks to add volume and contours.
What to expect during recovery
Patients usually experience some bruising and swelling at the liposuction site. This should subside within a few days. In order to achieve optimal fullness, patients are advised to avoid sitting directly on the buttocks for at least 3 weeks. This will give the transferred fat a chance to gain the blood supply needed to thrive.
Approximately 20-30% of the transferred fat may be re-absorbed by the body; and this can cause variable results with the Brazilian butt lift. Despite this, the most of the patients we treat at Bandak Plastic Surgery achieve long lasting results, and are happy with their fuller, more flattering buttocks.
Dr. Abdalla Bandak is vastly experienced in various types of plastic surgery, and he has helped many patients boost their self-confidence and gain natural-looking butt enhancement results.
